Severe Dog Bite Injury on the Face
Severe Dog Bite Scar: From Deep Wound to Smooth Repair
Background:
Our son was unfortunately bitten on the left side of his face by our family dog. The wound was so deep that the subcutaneous fat was visible. Immediately after the incident, we arranged for him to receive plastic surgery treatment at a private hospital.
Initial Care:
In the early post-operative stage, we used traditional silicone gel for care. After continuous use for one and a half months, there was no obvious improvement in the wound. Instead, the scar began to proliferate, becoming locally stiff and continuously darkening.
Switching to Herbap Matrix:
On the recommendation of a doctor friend, we switched to Herbap Matrix. Over the following year, we consistently applied it 2 to 3 times daily. The repair effect of Herbap Matrix was very significant — it effectively flattened the hypertrophic tissue, markedly softened the scar, and faded the melanin pigmentation.
Now, the wound area on our son’s face is flat with no raised tissue, the texture has regained elasticity, and the appearance has almost returned to normal. We are very pleased with this result.
After Surgery, Granulation Tissue Hyperplasia Appeared on the Wound

Open Reduction and Plate Fixation Surgery
