Its first patented technology, DSM (Derivatives of Flavanol Glycoside Small Molecule), extracts small-molecule flavanol glycosides from fern plants to inhibit the activity of myofibroblasts. During the wound healing process, these cells release large amounts of collagen and fibrous tissue, leading to scar hyperplasia and raised scars.

The Herbap Matrix formula inhibits myofibroblast activity and “guides” the cells into a normal resting state. This reduces collagen deposition, prevents the scar from growing uncontrollably, and helps restore it to a soft, flat condition.
