FAQs
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
1) Will all wounds leave a scar? It depends on the severity of the wound. If the wound reaches the dermis layer, a scar may form. During the body’s healing process, the repair mechanism is activated, and myofibroblasts release collagen to repair the tissue, which may result in scarring. The size and visibility of the scar are also influenced by various factors such as blood supply, scar orientation, sun exposure, hormone levels, and individual constitution.
2) How is Herbap Matrix different from ordinary scar gels? Most scar gels on the market use silicone as the main ingredient and rely on physical pressure to control the overgrowth of granulation tissue, but the effect is limited. Herbap Matrix uses the latest patented technology based on a biological guiding principle. It inhibits activated myofibroblasts, prevents excessive collagen release, and controls granulation tissue hyperplasia, thereby effectively reducing scar formation.
3) What patented technologies does Herbap Matrix have? Unlike silicone products, this product uses small-molecule resveratrol extracted from plants and applies a cell-targeting mechanism. It has two patented technologies: ① DSM patented formula: Uses small-molecule “flavanol glycosides” to inhibit granulation tissue hyperplasia and prevent scar formation. ② SDAA patented antibacterial technology: Prevents infection, accelerates healing, softens scars, and makes both new and old scars flatter and lighter.
4) Can Herbap Matrix completely remove scars? It cannot eliminate scars 100%. However, Herbap Matrix can effectively soften, reduce, and smooth scars, decrease granulation tissue hyperplasia, with a success rate of over 90%. It is recommended to start using as early as possible after the wound has stopped bleeding and a surface scab has formed, applying 2–3 times daily for best results.
5) How is Herbap Matrix different from silicone patches? Herbap Matrix is applied directly onto the scar and is suitable for joint areas without restricting movement. It dries quickly, is transparent, and does not affect appearance. In contrast, silicone patches can be inconvenient on joints, may limit movement, have poor adhesion, require frequent cleaning, and may cause skin allergies in some people. Please choose the appropriate product based on your situation and follow professional care advice.
6) How soon after wound healing can I start using Herbap Matrix? It must be used after the wound has stopped bleeding and a surface scab has formed. For surgical wounds, use after the stitches have been removed. For burns and scalds, wait until the skin has fully healed.
7) Is Herbap Matrix suitable for atrophic (depressed) scars? Herbap Matrix is mainly suitable for hypertrophic scars and is not suitable for atrophic (depressed) scars.
8) Can Herbap Matrix be used on scars from burns or scalds? Yes. Use after the skin has fully healed. It helps fade, soften, reduce, and smooth the scar.

10) Can Herbap Matrix be used on children? Yes, it is suitable for infants and young children aged 3 months and above.
